Gunnevera worked at his Gulfstream Park West base Friday morning as he continues preparations for an intended start in the Grade 1, $750,000 Woodward on Sept. 1 at Saratoga. 

Gunnevera was credited with a six furlong work in 1:13.20. He worked on a track rated fast. Gunnevera went in company under Edgard Zayas, who has the mount in the Woodward, according to agent Tito Fuentes. 

Gunnevera is scheduled to arrive at Saratoga on Sunday. Trained by Antonio Sano, he is coming off an allowance win at Gulfstream Park that marked his first out since March.
