Apprentice jockey Luis Fuentes, 18, won his 21st career race, and first at Santa Anita in Saturday's 10th race on Michael Mundo ($41).
Michael Mundo took a commanding lead in the stretch of the $12,500 claimer for non-winners of two at six furlongs and won easily.
Fuentes, who claims seven pounds, is the brother of jockey Ruben Fuentes, who finished in the top 10 at the Los Angeles county fair meeting at Los Alamitos last month. Luis Fuentes previously rode at Parx Racing and won races there and at Delaware Park, Penn National and Sunland Park earlier this year.
In September, Fuentes had his first win in California at Los Alamitos.
