Mind Control, scratched from last Saturday's Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland due to running a temperature, breezed for the first time since that setback on Sunday at Monmouth Park. Winner of the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes going seven furlongs this summer at Saratoga, he went five-eighths in 1:02 for trainer Greg Sacco.
The scratch from the Breeders' Futurity cost Mind Control a route prep prior to the Nov. 2 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, for which he is pegged as an early 8-1 chance by Daily Racing Form.
