Two major longshots in the first five races Tuesday at Indiana Grand produced - a pick five carryover! The pool today is seeded with $36,334 in free money, enough to consider diving in, I'd imagine. The sequence covers races 1 through 5 and has a 50-cent minimum bet. First post 2:05 Eastern.
Main track fast: Race 4 is turf but I don't see a condition posted yet. DeShawn Parker is off all his mounts.
Race 1: Scratch #2
Race 2: Scratch #11
Race 3: Scratch #4
Race 4: No scratches
Race 5: Scratch #10
All these races are tough!
Race 1 is a $5K maiden in which I believe numbers 1,2,3, and 6 can win. Star of Honey (#1) is my top pick and is listed at 5-2 on the line. I might lean on her a bit.
Race 2 has more plausible winners than race 1. My top selection was scratched and I will spread to the greatest affordable extent here.
Race 3 looks gooey, amorphous, etc etc. I'll stick with my top three picks, the three favorites: 3,6,9.
Race 4, $32K turf-route maiden-claimer. Since Sept. 1, turf favorites have hit at a 45-percent clip at IND. Weird, since turf racing there feels so chaotic to me. I'll use 1,2,4,6,9 though beyond top selection Somebody's Beau (#2) as an A not sure how I'll weight these.
Race 5 not just IND-bred but an IND-bred and -sired MSW. I have 15-1 morning-line shot Thatswhatithought (#7) on top. Interesting! Unfortunately, to be comfortably covered here, you'll also have to find room on the tickets for numbers 1,2,8,10.
Good luck!
