Jockey Flavien Prat has taken a two-race lead in the jockey standings with wins in the second and third races.
Prat has won 15 races, two more than Drayden Van Dyke. In the fourth race, Prat rides El Huerfano, the 6-year-old gelding, who won an allowance race with a $62,500 claiming option on Oct. 4. He races at the same level today and has a good draw on the outside in a field of five.
Both Prat and Van Dyke have Breeders' Cup mounts next Friday and Saturday, which could affect the jockey standings. Apprentice jockey Assael Espinoza is third with 10 wins, and could have a big weekend from Nov. 2-3, with several of the top riders out of town.
