Awesome Slew is scratched from the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile on Saturday after taking ill in recent days.

"He's been a little under the weather the last day or two," said trainer Mark Casse, who said he had no plans yet as to what could be next for Awesome Slew if he bounces back quickly from this minor but ill-timed setback.
