Jockey Patrick Husbands will miss the remainder of the Woodbine meet after suffering a serious injury on Sunday.
Husbands was unseated from Islay Inlet on the backstretch during the warmup for the fifth race, breaking his pelvis, which will require surgery.
Husbands' last major injury came in 2013, when he fractured a tibia when a horse he was riding collapsed after finish line.
The 45-year-old Barbados native has earned 3,285 victories and almost $160 million in purses during his career. A winner of 78 races this year through Nov. 4, he ranks fifth in the Woodbine standings.
