The New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association announced today that it would host a memorial for Rick Violette from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, at the Belmont Café at Belmont Park. Violette, a long-time trainer and a past president of NYTHA, died last month.

Donations in Rick’s memory can be made to the Backstretch Employee Service Team (BEST) or the TAKE2 Second Career Thoroughbred Program.

The Belmont Café is located on the first floor of the Belmont clubhouse, trackside.
