Today is closing day for the 2018 Gulfstream Park West season which means mandatory payouts in all the appropriate gimmicks including the Rainbow 6 which starts with a carryover of nearly $124,000. The main track is fast, turf firm once again for the 10 race finale. The Rainbow 6 sequence starts with the 5th race.  The battle for leading rider could also go right down to the wire with Edgard Zayas holding a 2 win advantage over Paco Lopez coming into the day.

The local circuit will be dark for the next five days. The Gulfstream Park Championship meet opens on Saturday.
