A pair of starters in the $150,000 Smarty Jones that runs later on the opening day card at Oaklawn got a bit of a form boost in the second race Friday.

Souixper Charger was a clear winner in the maiden allowance for statebreds, one start after hooking Boldor and Super Steed in a maiden special weight in October at Keeneland. Boldor won that day and Super Steed was second and both horses are set to to run in the Smarty Jones.
