The rules of distribution for Sunday's 20-cent Rainbow pick six pool changed after the bet started when two races were transferred from turf to dirt because of wet conditions. All pick six combinations will be considered winners of the seventh and ninth races because of the late surface switch, which was announced at 2:25 p.m., shortly before the fifth race was run, the second leg of the pick six.
The Rainbow pick six will be paid out in full if there is one winning ticket, according to mutuels manager Randy Hartzell. He said if there are mutliple winners of the pick six, the $232,337 from Sunday's pool will be paid out today in full and no portion of that pool will be diverted to the Rainbow pick six carryover, which is paid only if there is one winning ticket.
The Rainbow pick six began on Sunday with a carryover of $112,846. The carryover will be in effect for Thursday's program, if there are multiple winners of the pick six on Sunday.
The 50-cent late pick five began with the fifth race, so there are no alterations to that pool since the surface switch was announced before the start of that bet.
