Coal Front and the rest of the Razorback crew not flattered by the clock

Unless the relative speed of the track has changed and has suddenly gotten slower, the clock did not flatter Coal Front, Copper Bullet, and every other older male who contested the just completed Razorback Handicap at Oaklawn.

Yes, I know Coal Front had to send from the 14 post to save some ground into the first turn and was making his first career start around two turns. Nevertheless, his final time of 1:43.45 was only .1 seconds faster than She's a Julie needed to win the Bayakoa one race before, and was only .63 seconds faster than what limited 3-year-old allowance horses went three races earlier.
