Crescentcitypretty, at 1-5, was a clear winner of the $70,000 Azalea on Friday night at Delta Downs.
Crescentcitypretty ($2.40) was always prominent in the seven furlong race run around two turns, sitting just off leader Blowing Bayou through an opening quarter in 23.54 seconds. The eventual winner joined the leader through a half-mile in 48.35 seconds before going on to cover the distance on a track rated good in 1:28.35.
Diego Saenz was aboard the winner for Brittlyn Stable and trainer Jose Camejo.
Fortune Got Even finished second at 7-1, five and three-quarter lengths behind Crescentcitypretty, according to margins posted on the simulcast from Delta.
The Azalea was for 3-year-old fillies bred in Louisiana. It also was restricted to non-winners of a stakes.
