The lightly raced Cambier Parc rallied to a one length decision over the 21-1 Princess Carolina to become a grades stakes winner for the first time in the Grade 3 Herecomesthebride. Belle Laura set the pace and succumbed grudgingly at the end to finish third.
Cambier Parc, a daughter of Medaglia d'Oro, had made only two previous starts, winning her turf debut in impressive fashion here earlier in the meet. She sat a perfect trip under jockey Jose Ortiz, stalking Belle Laura from the outset. Cambier Parc gained a short advantage in early stretch before gradually edging clear at the end. Princess Caroline rallied outside horses to be up for second in the final strides.
Cambier Parc was one of three fillies trainer Chad Brown ran in the Herecomesthebride along with Connectivity and Golconda. Owned by OXO Equine LLC, Cambier Parc covered a mile and one sixteenth over firm ground in 1:42.03 and paid $3.60.
