Smoovie ($8.40) led throughout an allowance race with a $20,000 claiming option for California-bred fillies and mares in Friday's sixth sixth race for her second win in three starts.

Smoovie, a 4-year-old filly, races for Paul and Zillah Reddam and trainer Doug O'Neill.

Sunday, the Reddams and O'Neill start Acai, the 2-year-old full-sister to Smoovie, in a maiden special weight race at 4 1-2 furlongs.

O'Neill hinted on Friday that Acai is a promising filly, but said she may be better on turf. Smoovie is certainly a turf filly, with two wins in six starts on the surface.
