Not counting (11) Hug, off the also eligible list in race 6, there is just one scratch on the 7-race card that begins at 1:50 p.m. Pacific.
Take (1) Pawnee Girl out of Race 7.
Papa Papa Papa looks like the one to beat the 4th race and could be singled in the early and late Pick 4. The $25,000 waiver-claiming race drew 6 horses. The Steve Bryant-trained 6-year-old has been very impressive in the mornings and could be tough to get past if he breaks on top in the six-furlong dash for 3-year-olds and up. He romped in his last start at this level and because it was his final start in 2018 he gets to run protected.
The late Pick 4 is more intriguing as the other legs in the sequence are wide-open, espcecially Race 6, a $25,000 maiden claimer where it is hard to take a frim stand on any of them. My top pick is (9) You got this, mostly because of her breeding and she ran okay in both of her starts as a juvenile. Works just average, but she is runnign for a tag for the first time. (7) Pajamas has been working well enough for a trainer who can have them ready to roll first out.
The track is fast.
