Firenze Fire sat a perfect trip behind dueling leaders Killybegs Captain and Recruiting Ready then cruised right on by at the eighth pole to win the $150,000 Runhappy Stakes by about four lengths for Jason Servis and owner Ron Lombardi.

Recruiting Ready, who went favored late by about $4,000 over Firenze Fire, finished second followed by Bon Raison and Killybegs Captain.

Firenze Fire, who ran six furlongs in 1:08.12, is now 3 for 3 at Belmont having won the Grade 1 Champagne at 2 and the Dwyer at 3.
