It took 25 tries, but GRAND BANKS (4) finally broke her maiden at Aqueduct on April 12; today, she'll try winners for the second time in her career (ran in a NY-bred stake @ 2YO) this afternoon at Belmont Park, and she has a big chance to win right back. The "lightbulb" angle is a potent one: after a prolonged losing streak, a horse breaks their maiden and immediately returns to win next-out. I think this could apply this afternoon, and I like that she broke her maiden in her first start with a new trainer (Harold James Bond). Grand Banks is currently 5/2 with 7 MTP, and I'll play her to win at those odds.
