Vasilika ($4.20) closed with an impressive rally in the final furlong to win her fourth consecutive graded stakes in Monday's Grade 1 Gamely Stakes for fillies and mares on turf.
The $500,000 Gamely Stakes was the richest win for Vasilika, who was claimed for $40,000 in February 2018 and has since won 12 of 14 starts and earned $1,209,524. Seven of the wins are in graded stakes.
Ridden by Flavien Prat, his third victory of the day, Vasilika rallied wide to prevail by a length over 9-5 Rymska. Ahimsa, a 21-1 outsider who set the pace, held third, followed by Elysea's World, Meal Ticket, Streak of Luck, Ollie's Candy and Causeforcommotion.
Vasilika, a 5-year-old mare by Skipshot races for the partnership of All Schlaich Stables, Gatto Racing, George Todaro and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. Vasilika has won 17 of 32 starts and earned $1,358,595.
