Fast Enough ($7) fought off a sustained challenge from 8-5 favorite Cal's Gem to win a maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds at 4 1-2 furlongs in Friday's third race.
Ridden by Tiago Pereira, Fast Enough was timed in 53.08 seconds, and finished 3 1-4 lengths in front of Cal's Gem, who was 5 1-2 lengths clear of third-place finisher Next Flight (9-1).
Fast Enough, by Eddington, is owned by breeder Craig Martin ad trained by Rafael Becerra.
