Game Winner added blinkers for a half-mile workout Friday morning at Santa Anita, the colt’s first work since finishing sixth with a wide trip in the Kentucky Derby. The only race in which Game Winner wore blinkers was his winning debut last summer at Del Mar.

The champion 2-year-old of 2018 but winless in three starts this year, Game Winner worked Friday in company. He was timed in :48.40. Trainer Bob Baffert said the Grade 1 Travers on Aug. 24 at Saratoga is his main objective. Santa Anita Derby winner Roadster, 15th in the Kentucky Derby, is scheduled to work later Friday. A complete report will be posted later at drf.com.
