Entries for the $100,000 Evangeline Mile, the premier stakes of the meet Evangeline Downs, will be taken tomorrow, Friday. The race will be run next Saturday night, June 22. The Evangeline Mile, which is for 3-year-olds and up, is expected to draw Mocito Rojo. The horse based at Evangeline is coming off a win in the Grade 3 Steve Sexton Mile at Lone Star Park.

The $75,000 Spotted Horse, a one-mile stakes for fillies and mares that was scheduled to be run June 21 at Evangeline, did not fill when entries were taken on Thursday, according to an official with the track.
