Lane 1 and firm (13.2 GS) for the lone turf race, the first on the new $8 million inner course. MTO Divine Dance is scratched from that one-mile, $25K claimer, which seems wide open. It goes as the fourth.
The seven-furlong course can be divided into four lanes that are 12 feet apart. The length of the stretch is 978 feet, which is three feet farther than the main track. There will be some wacky, Gulfstream-like run-ups, from 40 feet to as much as 200 feet.
Sav should be favored over pacesetter Ciuri in the featured Lady Angela Stakes, which goes as the third on the eight-race program. Brookies Bear looks next best in the seven-furlong sprint for Ontario-sired 3yo fillies.
The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover is nearly $6K.
