Summerland remained undefeated in Canada with an easy 5 3/4 length victory in the $50,000 Supernaturel Handicap. The 1 1/16 miles race for 3-year-old filllies was pretty much over when the other speed took back and Summerland posted a moderate quarter-mile time of 24.51 seconds. Jockey Enrique Gonzalez had her well in hand through 6-furlongs in 1:12.83, and she was on cruise control the rest of the way. Sunburst rallied to finish second with the maiden, Warrior's Promsie picking up third.

The final time was 1:45.21.

A daughter of He's Tops, Summerland was bred in Kentucky by George Gilbert and Tres Hombres. She races for Gilbert and is trained by Phil Hall. It was her eighth victory in nine starts with her lone loss coming in the Grade 2 Sorrento at Del Mar.
