There are three scratches on the 9-race card that begins at 5:10 p.m and concludes at roughly 9:10 p.m. Pacific. Following the races there will be a fireworks display which usually brings out the largest crowd of the year.
Race 3: (3) She Began Again
Race 6: (2) Miss Wine Topper
Race 8: (6) Lulu's Lightning
(4) Beau Rocket, aptly named for tonight, is the one to beat in the feature 8th race, a $15,000 claimer for fillies and mares nonwinners of two. She was impressive winning her debut in a $25,000 maiden claimer and had a rough trip in a first-level allowance race with a $30K claiming option in her second start.
The Blaine Wright-trained 4-year-old Cal-bred should be tough to reel in if she breaks alertly from post 4 with Franklin Ceballos riding.
The track is fast.
