Four six-figure stakes, including two Grade 3s, on the Friday night Prairie Meadows card, and there are already important scratches. 

The $100K Iowa Sprint, race 5, was decimated: Do Share (#2), The Tabulator (#3), Cummings (#4), and Seven Trumpets (#7) have been scratched, leaving a three-horse field. Do Share is entered in the John Nerud Stakes on Saturday at Belmont.

Only Sweet Diane (#5), a longshot, is out of the Grade 3 Iowa Oaks, race 6.

Visitant (#7), the 7-2 morning-line favorite, is scratched from race 7, the $250,000 Iowa Derby. When I spoke to trainer John Martin on Tuesday night he suggested that Visitant hadn't traveled especially well from California. Also out of this race are Proverb (#2) and Dazzling Truths (#8), leaving a field of nine.

Two Thirty Five (#2) is the only scratch from the featured G3, $300,000 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker, race 8. Put Pedro Cotto Jr. on Sir Anthony (#5) and Mario Gutierrez on Exulting (#8).
