Trainer Kevin Patterson’s amazing win streak continued Friday night at Charles Town when C. D. Jammin won the third race.
Patterson has now won with 14 consecutive starters dating back to May 31. All of the wins during his streak have come at either Charles Town or Mountaineer Park.
C.D. Jammin’s victory equaled the late Frank Passero’s 14 straight wins at Gulfstream Park in 1996. Patterson will aim for his 15th winner in the seventh race Saturday night at Charles Town with Flashy Dragon Girl.
Patterson has won with 10 different horses during his streak. Nine of his wins have come for owner Robert Cole Jr. and five have been for the partnership of Diamond Oak Stable and TEC Racing.
For the year, Patterson is 31 for 76, a win average of 40 percent. He has won 427 career races from 1,325 starts, a strike rate of 32 percent.
Patterson is sixth in the Charles Town standings with 23 wins from 54 starts. He is 6 for 13 at Mountaineer.
