There are two scratches on the 7-race card that begins at 1:50 p.m. Pacific.
Race 4: (7) Sea Cadet
Race 5: (1) Ps Diamond Cutter
(5) Day Raider is listed at 4-1 in the sixth race but my guess is he will be the favorite in the 1 1/16 miles n3L allowance race for 3 and 4-year-olds.
The Craig MacPherson-trained 4-year-old will appreciate the move to a route following an encouraging performance in his first start of the year going 6 1/2 furlongs on June 9. He had a productive sophomore campaign, winning the $50,000 Sir Winston Churchill as well as being the runner-up in the Grade 3 Canadian Derby. In his only try against older stakes horses he finshed fourth in the Grade 3 Premier's, but he only got beat by a length in the 1 3/8 miles race.
He will be my single in the late Pick 4.
The track is fast but with rain in the area that could change.
