The first class of the new Louisiana Downs Hall of Fame will be inducted on Saturday. The ceremony will be held following the seventh race, in the main lobby, according to information from the Bossier City, La., track. The card Saturday features races named for some of the inductees, according to the overnight from Louisiana Downs.

The Hall of Fame class is comprised of both previously-announced individuals selected by a committee and individuals selected through online voting. Those selected during the online voting period that ran from June 15-29 will be revealed during the ceremony, according to Martha Claussen, a turf publicist for Louisiana Downs.
