It may be a short field, but it's loaded with quality - and potentially an opportunity to get a fair (not necessarily giant) price on legitimate grade one caliber fillies and mares. I think SISTERCHARLIE (4) is the best of the bunch, but it's fair to wonder if this is nothing more than the beginning of her 2019 campaign; perhaps she'll need one before returning to her absolute best. Other thoughts:

- HOMERIQUE (6) has a wicked kick, and the pace should be there for her; today is the real acid test for her to see if she's truly G1 caliber

- I like both MITCHELL ROAD (3) and SECRET MESSAGE (5), but this just seems like it could be a tall order to beat THREE major runners from Brown's barn; of the two, I prefer Secret Message

- There's nothing for me to really add about RUSHING FALL (2); she makes all the sense in the world, and it would be no surprise to see her in the winner's circle when it's all said and done
