Celtic Chaos gave trainer Brad Cox his third stakes win in less than 24 hours after holding off a final surge from Build to Suit to register a heart stopping nose decision in the $100,000 John Morrissey Stakes. The John Morrissey was finally decided 10 days after it's originally scheduled date having been postponed due to adverse track conditions on August 25. Celtic Chaos, a New York bred son of Dublin, had finished third in the 2018 John Morrissey. Owned by Zilla Racing, he completed 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15.45 under jockey Dylan Davis and paid $13.20.
Cox won a pair of stakes in similarly exciting fashion on Saturday, the Grade 1 Test with Covfefe at Saratoga and the Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon several hours later at Del Mar with Beau Recall.
