Owendale, at 2-1, made a four-wide advance on the final turn and went on to a clear win in the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby. He covered the mile and an eighth on a fast track in 1:49.29. Sleepy Eyes Todd, who set the pace, held second over Chess Chief in third. Mucho Gusto was fourth Sunday.
