On his first day of riding in Southern California on a full-time basis since late winter, Tyler Baze won with his second mount on Lil Milo ($7.40) in the fourth race, an optional claimer at 5 1-2 furlongs on turf. Earlier on the card, Baze rode 50-1 Penman, who was unplaced in the second race.
Baze rode primarily in Arkansas and Kentucky in the spring and summer before deciding to return to California where he has ridden for most of the last two decades since his career began.
Baze's next mount is on Streak of Luck (3) in the fifth race, the Grade 3 LA Woman Stakes for fillies and mares at 6 1-2 furlongs.
