Toinette (3-5) closed from third to win Saturday's Swingtime Stakes for fillies and mares at a mile on turf, giving jockey Drayden Van Dye his third stakes win on the 10-race program.
There were four stakes at Santa Anita on Saturday. Van Dyke also won the Grade 3 LA Woman Stakes on Lady Ninja and the Grade 2 City of Hope Mile on True Valour. He was fourth aboard California Street in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Sprint Championship.
Toinette was timed in 1:33.23. She stalked the pace before making a three-wide move on the turn that carried her to the front. Toinette finished 1 1-2 lengths in front of 7-1 Quebec, who was followed by 7-1 Super Patriot in the field of 10.
Toinette, a 4-year-old filly by Scat Daddy, is owned by a partnership and trained by Neil Drysdale. Toinette won the Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at a mile on turf last October. She was third in the Grade 2 John Mabee Stakes at Del Mar on Aug. 31.
