Santa Anita: Applecross is late scratch from Surfer Girl

Applecross (6) was withdrawn from the $100,000 Surfer Girl Stakes, Sunday's eighth race, after unseating jockey Abel Cedillo on the path from the walking ring to the racetrack, stewards said.

Applecross was 6-1 at the time.
