Monte Man, the reigning Louisiana-bred of the Year, is entered in an allowance Wednesday night at Remington Park. The race is expected to serve as his steppingstone to the Louisiana Champions Day Sprint at Fair Grounds.
Monte Man drew post 7 in the field of seven, with Luis Quinonez named to ride for Ivery Sisters Racing and trainer Ron Faucheux. The first-level allowance over six furlongs goes as the fifth race Wednesday. Monte Man worked a bullet 48.60 seconds on Thursday at Fair Grounds as part of his prep work for the start at Remington.
