Beginning Thursday, there are four days remaining at the Santa Anita autumn meeting, and two of them include the Breeders' Cup races on Friday and Saturday.
At the start of action on Thursday, Abel Cedillo has won 19 races, one more than Flavien Prat. Jorge Velez is a close third with 14 wins.
Cedillo and Prat each have four mounts on Thursday. Prat may have a slight advantage. He rides all 14 of the Breeders' Cup races, but is not riding on Sunday, the first day of a three-day suspension for a riding infraction on Oct. 26.
That could sway things in Prat's favor. Thursday's card will go a long way to determine those standings.
