The abbreviated first week of the Del Mar fall meeting ends today with a nine-race card that begins at 12:30 Pacific. There are no late scratches, but there is one rider change.

In race 2, Donnie Meche is off She'sthatluckyway (1), and will be replaced by Jerick Ello.

According to Equibase, Ello has had seven lifetime mounts -- most recently at Churchill Downs -- and has yet to win. One of Del Mar's stewards, Grant Baker, said Ello is 26 years old and has been an exercise rider for trainer Peter Miller. Although Ello is an apprentice, the apprentice allowance is not applicable for She'sluckythatway owing to her being entered originally with the veteran Meche aboard.
