David Cohen, who won the 2019 riding title at Oaklawn, will return to the Hot Springs, Ark., track in late December to start working horses for the meet that opens Jan. 24, according to his agent, Bill Castle.
Castle also will represent Orlando Mojica at Oaklawn. Mojica will also arrive after Christmas, said Castle. Mojica was fourth in the standings last meet at Oaklawn.
“All three of us are very much looking forward to returning,” Castle said.
Cohen has some upcoming stakes engagements at Churchill Downs, Fair Grounds and Aqueduct, said Castle. Mojica will be riding at Turfway before he gets to Oaklawn after Christmas.
Cohen last meet was a regular aboard horses for M and M Racing, the stable that won the owner title at Oaklawn. Cohen won 75 races last meet and had mount earnings of $2.5 million.
Oaklawn opens for its first day of training Dec. 2.
