Del Mar's racing office just announced that the final race today, race 10, will be run on the main track.

All the other grass races -- the four stakes -- remain on the turf.

Obviously the decision here is to preserve the turf course for stakes racing only, especially with three more stakes on the closing-day card Sunday.

Del Mar reported three inches of rain Wednesday and Thursday, and a strong shower blew through the track Friday afternoon, too.
