After Saturday's second race, the Grade 3 Jimmy Durante Stakes for 2-year-old fillies, the turf course was officially rated as good following rain in recent days. Four jockeys rode the race agreed that surface has retained moisture and said the going is on the soft side of good.
Flavien Prat, who finished fourth on Croughavouke, called the surface "good. A little soft, but good."
Mike Smith, who finished sixth on Overjoyed, said it was on the "soft side."
Drayden Van Dyke finished eighth on Guitty and described the course as "a little muddy."
There are three more turf races this afternoon, all stakes, beginning with the Grade 3 Red Carpet Stakes, the upcoming fourth race.
