Trainer Bob Baffert won three consecutive races from the fourth through sixth on Saturday and may not be through.
In the upcoming seventh race, the Grade 1 Starlet Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at 1 1-16 miles, Baffert starts Bast, who was third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Santa Anita on Nov. 1, and Gingham, a maiden race winner at Santa Anita on Oct. 31.
They must beat Donna Veloce, who was second in the BC Juvenile Fillies.
In the eighth race, Baffert runs the first-time starter War Path and the second-time starter Ra'ad, who was fourth in his debut on Oct. 26.
Beginning with Saturday's fourth race, Baffert won the Grade 2 Los Alamitos Futurity with the promising Thousand Words, an optional claimer for sprinters with Speed Pass, and an optional claimer for fillies and mares at a mile with Message, who pulled clear to win by nine lengths.
