After a record five-win day on Saturday, trainer Bob Baffert won with his first starter on Sunday with the highly-promising Azul Coast in the third race, a maiden special weight race at a mile for 2-year-olds.

Azul Coast ($6.40) closed with a wide rally through the long stretch to win by four lengths over 5-1 Special Day, finishing in 1:38.59. A colt by Super Saver, Azul Coast was purchased for $320,000 as a yearling and races for Mike Pegram, Paul Weitman and Karl Watson.

Baffert's next runner is the first-time starter Elusive Ride for the same owners in the fourth race, a $50,000 claimer for maidens at 5 1-2 furlongs.
