Mighty Elijah was vanned off after suffering an injury to his left foreleg and Into a Hot Spot was vanned off after collapsing while being unsaddled after Saturday's first race. 

Mighty Elijah was pulled up in the stretch and quickly received attention from track veternarians. He sustained a sesamoid injury and could not be saved, track stewards said. Into a Hot Spot sustained an internal injury and died, track stewards said.

Into a Hot Spot finished last of the five horses that finished the six-furlong race.
