Storie Blue ($6.80) repelled a stretch-long threat from 2-5 favorite Classy Ruler to win a maiden special weight race for 3-year-old fillies at a mile in Sunday's fourth race.

Ridden by Drayden Van Dyke, Storie Blue finished a neck in front of Classy Ruler, who raced wide throughout under jockey Mike Smith. Storie Blue was timed in 1:38.49.

Trained by Bob Baffert for Don Alberto Stable, Storie Blue is by Empire Maker and had been second in her first two starts at Del Mar on Nov. 22 and Los Al on Dec. 15.
