Jockey Rafael Bejarano was taken to a local hospital during the noon hour on Friday after he slipped and fell in the jockey's room shower, according to a racing official.
The incident occurred less than an hour before the first race.
Bejarano, a former leading rider who is winless with 29 mounts since the meeting began on Dec. 28, had one mount on the seven-race program. He will not ride Mike Operator (2) in the seventh race.
Bejarano had one other mount on the program, a horse withdrawn from the sixth race.
