Post times change frequently at Santa Anita this winter, and this weekend is no exception.
Saturday's nine-race program begins at 12:30 p.m., Pacific, the standard start time for a Saturday. The card features three graded stakes, including the Grade 3 Robert Lewis Stakes for 3-year-olds at 1 1-16 miles.
There are only seven races on Sunday's program, which begins at 11:30 a.m., Pacific, to ensure completion in advance of Super Bowl kickoff at 3:30 p.m., Pacific. (In the past, the Super Bowl program has included eight races and started at 11 a.m., but the number of horses entered is down this year).
There is no stakes on Sunday. The Baffle Stakes for 3-year-old sprinters did not draw sufficient entries, and is tentatively scheduled to be part of Friday's program when live racing resumes.
