Carressa, the winner of the Grade 3 Megahertz Stakes at Santa Anita in January, was withdrawn from Saturday's Grade 2 Buena Vista Stakes as a precaution, trainer John Shirreffs said late Saturday morning.
"She's good," Shirreffs said. "She had a little heat in a leg and we decided to scratch. It wasn't a vet scratch. I didn't feel 100 percent about it."
Carressa was rated as a leading contender in the $200,000 Buena Vista Stakes for fillies and mares at a mile on turf.
