Daphne Moon wins 3-year-old debut in allowance designed to produce starters for Fantasy

Daphne Moon, at 8-5, fought off a bid from Jilted Bride to win the third race Sunday at Oaklawn Park. The allowance for 3-year-old fillies was designed to produce starters for the Grade 3, $400,000 Fantasy here May 1. Daphne Moon, who was always prominent, covered the mile and a sixteenth on a track upgraded to fast in 1:44.66. 

Jilted Bride was second and Queen Bridget, third.
