Trainer Wesley Ward has named Hall of Fame rider Mike Smith on the two horses he has entered on the Saturday card at Oaklawn: Kimari in the $100,000 Purple Mountain Stakes and Hail to Chief in an optional $80,000 claiming route for 3-year-olds. 

The Purple Mountain goes as the eighth on a 10-race card. The optional claiming route - which also drew Finnick the Fierce and Answer In - goes as the eighth Saturday. 

Also on the card, Maryanorginger makes her first start since winning her debut in the Astoria last year at Belmont Park. She goes in the seventh race, a first-level allowance sprint for fillies and mares. First post is 1 p.m. Central.
